When we talk about incontinence, we mean when the bladder (wee) or bowel (poo) leaks without you being able to control it.
Incontinence includes urinary (wee) incontinence and faecal (poo) incontinence, which is also called ‘soiling’. It can happen in the daytime (urinary incontinence or ‘day wetting’) and during the night (nocturnal enuresis or ‘bedwetting’).
The sooner you see a doctor and get help, the easier it will be to sort out and the less chance there is of it getting any worse.
